Alemania acaba de asumir la presidencia de la Unión Europea y Angela Merkel, Canciller teutona, manifestó su interés de impulsar una mayor cercanía comercial con Estados Unidos. La cuestión fue discutida hace unos por estos pasillos. Sigo pensando que es riesgoso que los países ricos se otorguen preferencias sin tener en cuenta al resto. De cualquier manera, el panorama político a ambos lados del Atlántico no parece favorecer, por el momento, iniciativas de este tipo.
